Each year, our finest casks are chosen to craft an exceptional journey of flavour. In collaboration with friends around the world, we create a whisky that embodies the spirit and theme of the year. This limited release is meticulously crafted from three exceptional casks, each representing a distinct grain and character: Secale cereale (rye), Triticosecale (triticale), and Avena sativa (oat). The assertive spice and structure of the rye lead the conversation, intertwined with the softer, rounded elegance of the triticale. Beneath it all, oat provides a quiet, nutty foundation — binding the flavours together and giving the whisky a composed, seamless depth.
The 2025 Blended Whisky is a study in harmony and contrast, revealing how boldness, softness, and nuance can coexist.
Nose: Warming spice and oak open the glass, led by rye's bold aromatics, softened by gentle grain sweetness and subtle nuttiness.
Palate: Structured yet refined, with rye spice unfolding into the smooth, rounded character of triticale. The oat brings a quiet richness, allowing layers of flavour to settle and integrate.
Finish: Long and composed, with lingering spice, soft grain sweetness, and a balanced, contemplative warmth.
Terroir shapes every bottle of Black Fox Canadian Whisky — from the distinct character of the land to the extremes of weather that define it. On top of your bottle, you will find a copper coin engraved with a unique serial code. We had an awesome experience and Black Fox distillery. Such a beautiful property to come and relax at and sample some gin. The staff was very informative and the atmosphere was so welcoming. The whisky was also great but the gin stole the show for us. Definitely couldn’t leave without a bottle of Haskap gin and Sage gin! They will be very much enjoyed this summer! 😍
